For running coaches

Running coach app for structured training plans

You prescribe runs in Strength Academy by type, distance or time, with a target pace set from the runner’s race PRs and a heart-rate zone on top. Runners see the pace and zone in the session. You follow their weekly kilometres against the plan, their pace trend and their PRs.

How to coach running in Strength Academy

  1. Prescribe the run

Choose long run, zone 2, recovery, tempo, intervals, 400 m repeats, sprints, fartlek or time trial. Set it by distance or time, with repeats and rest for interval sessions.

  2. Set the pace from a PR

Base the target pace on the runner’s 5K, 10K, half marathon or marathon PR, then make it faster or slower by a set number of seconds.

  3. Add heart-rate zones

Use a 3, 5 or 7-zone model, saved as your default, with an optional beats-per-minute range. The runner sees the pace, the zone and the BPM range in the session.

  4. Follow weekly kilometres and pace

Runners can track runs with GPS in the iOS or Android app, with per-kilometre splits, elevation and a route map. Those runs feed your view of weekly kilometres against the plan, pace trend and PRs.

What your runners track

Race PRs are the reference for the paces in your sessions. Strength, mobility and erg work sit in the same week as the runs.
