JOSÉE GALLANT I’m a five-time Canadian National Champion, Pan American Champion, and international Olympic weightlifter who has represented Team Canada at four IWF World Championships. Originally from an Acadian family in Campbellton, New Brunswick, I’m now based in Bordeaux, France. Before moving to Europe, I was also a CrossFit gym owner in Canada, an experience that helped shape the way I approach coaching, athlete development, and building stronger, more confident lifters. Stella Maris, Star of the Sea, is the program I’ve built from that journey: years of competing at the highest level, learning from different coaching philosophies, making mistakes, adapting, and refining my approach. My goal isn’t simply to write programs, it’s to help athletes become better weightlifters, to move well, understand their training, build confidence under the bar, and create progress that lasts.
