Which coaching app lets me keep 100% of what my clients pay?
Strength Academy takes no cut of what your clients pay you. Clients pay through Stripe into a payout account set up for you from the app, so you keep everything except Stripe’s processing fee. Instead you pay a flat plan, such as Individual at CHF 55.50 a month, with unlimited clients.
How it works
Set up payouts once
On the Revenue page, choose “Connect bank account”, pick your payout country and finish Stripe’s setup. Strength Academy creates a Stripe Express account for you, and Stripe pays out to your bank.
Sell what you offer
Sell programs and bundles, paid sessions from your calendar and paid video reviews. Coaching can be a subscription or a fixed term of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
Clients pay into your account
Each payment is charged on your Stripe account, not ours. We set our fee on subscriptions to 0% and add none to one-off payments. Clients pay no extra service fee.
Track it in Revenue
The Revenue page lists what each athlete paid. Your Stripe dashboard shows the net amounts paid to your bank, after Stripe’s fees and any refunds.
How other apps charge
Some coaching apps add a percentage on top of card fees. FITR lists a 5.99% fee for its full automation, with Stripe’s fees on top. TrueCoach applies a 5% fee to each card payment.
Others charge a flat amount. Trainerize payments are a $10 a month add-on on its Grow and Pro plans. Everfit charges a $9 monthly platform fee, plus per-payment rates by country that include Stripe’s fee. Kahunas says it takes no commission.
Marketplaces work differently: TrainHeroic takes 30% of the marketplace sales it brings you, plus bank fees.
Limits worth knowing
- Stripe’s processing fee still applies to each payment.
- You need to finish Stripe’s setup before you can sell. Strength Academy creates a new Stripe account for you; an existing one cannot be linked.
- Stripe payouts are available in 42 countries. In Iceland, clients pay Strength Academy and we transfer your earnings to your bank every month.
- Prices can be set in CHF, EUR, GBP or USD.
- Classes, drop-ins and class packs are part of the Gym plan.
- Cash, bank transfers or TWINT you receive outside the app can be recorded in Revenue. The app does not collect them.
